History

Oblivious first went online in January 9th, 2005. Layout was made by me in Photoshop 7 and coded with HTML-Kit on my beautiful FS laptop. None of this would have been if it wasn't for Jerilee who kindly hosted my site. The rest... like they say, is history.

Past & Present Layouts

Every single layout since the beginning of Oblivious.

July 20, 2009 - ...
After a very, very long time, I decided that it was time to make a new, fashionable, modern layout. Blogging didn't really interest me, so WordPress was out. Even tho it's gaining popularity these days I don't have that much to say or to archive. Last time I coded anything, was ages ago, so unfortunately I had to learn a lot of things again. I made a huge effort trying to make this site browsable on explorer (yrch, why do people even use that shit?), mozilla and others (+ suitable for different screen resolutions) without errors, horizontal scrollbar and off-text, all the while keeping it exactly like I planned it in my imagination. I also added fave icon and rss feed and basically this is the first time I should even use the sentence a "major makeover". It could have turned out better, but I was anxious to get it online and start making some fanart again.

"Fresh and Clean"
March 3, 2006 - January 10, 2009
I can honestly say, I haven't been so proud of my layout since the first Oblivious hit the net. It's the first time I used stock pictures instead of TV show caps or HQ images. It turned out really well. I made some changes in its appearance in november 2008, since making a new layout was just not possible. Navigation bar for the menu links were made with codes from dynamicdrive.

"Oblivious"
January 9, 2006 - March 3, 2006
Again, Oblivious had a extreme makeover. This time I added new navigation system and some new art galleries. At this point I started to have troubles with navigation, since I had already too many wallpapers of different tv-shows and movies. Turned out a wee bit dark, but it featured Spike & Buffy. Was not as pretty as the last one, but for my defence - I've never managed to make a pretty pop layout. So there.

"Classical"
September 20, 2005 - January 9, 2006
After a month of hiatus, non-updating, I decided it was time to make a fresh start. The whole site got a new content package (sort of..) and then I had all my three favorite shows - all in a neat little package - up in a front page layout. Features The Tribe, Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars.

"Paradise"
June 27, 2005 - September 20, 2005
"Veronica Mars is the best show ever! As an obsessed fan, it's only fair to make a fitting layout." Well-well... this was the time I loved brushes. Over-used them many times, but this layout was even decent enough I think.

"Veronica and Logan"
May 8, 2005 - June 27, 2005
And again... Green'ish Veronica Mars layout. This time I made some major tweaking on the layout and changed some settings so to speak. I really like d this episode and it was a time of white and shiny colors. Dear god...

"Veronica Mars"
April 23, 2005 - May 8, 2005
Again - this layout was basically the same, I just changed the main header. What was I thinking? It's all green...

"Logan - Veronica Mars"
April 10, 2005 - April 23, 2005
The first product of my new found love. Logan from Veronica Mars. From this point on I changed my layouts very quickly, since I got tired of them. Now that I look at them, they look awful.

"The Awakening"
April 2, 2005 - April 10, 2005
I found some images from Alexis Bledel Fan and fell in love with them. I just had to use them. I was quite happy with the result. Oh, and since it was april... I named it - The Awakening. It's spring! Can you feel it in the air? Amazing. Could always be better, but I am learning.

"Rory and Logan"
January 9, 2005 - April 2, 2005
First layout featuring my two main favorite colors - blue and white. This was the fourth time for me to make a site (pre-Oblivious'ish sites were: Colorblind, ScreenCaps and Tribe Art). This time I chose to focus solely on fanart.
